This dissertation develops the Preference Adaptation Architecture (PAA), a mechanism-based account of how beliefs, structural position and health condition the balance between need-sensitive self-interest and fairness when people form preferences about healthcare and redistribution. It examines these implications with the Vienna ViePHEP survey (n = 1,411) and an external ACPP benchmark. The cross-sectional findings support belief-conditional allocation selectively, while the proposed arbitration process and adaptation over time remain unresolved.
Diese Dissertation entwickelt die Preference Adaptation Architecture (PAA), eine mechanismenbasierte Erklärung dafür, wie Überzeugungen, strukturelle Position und Gesundheit das Verhältnis zwischen bedürfnissensitivem Eigeninteresse und Gerechtigkeit bei Präferenzen zu Gesundheitsversorgung und Umverteilung prägen. Die beobachtbaren Folgerungen werden mit der Wiener ViePHEP-Befragung (n = 1.411) und einem externen ACPP-Vergleich untersucht. Die Querschnittsergebnisse stützen die von Überzeugungen abhängige Allokation selektiv, während der vorgeschlagene Abwägungsprozess und die Anpassung über die Zeit offenbleiben.
